Text & Translations
Quick to: Change copy • Add language • Missing translations
Change copy
You can customize the text that your customers see to match your own style and preferences. Go to text & languages.
- Use search or browse to find the desired word or phrase. At the 'edit' section, you will find the reference and editable text fields.
- If you are using multiple languages, you can sync the text fields to ensure that certain words are consistent across languages.
Add new language
To add a language to your booking form, follow these steps:
Add language
Go to the text & languages section and click the 'edit languages' button. You will see a list of the languages currently in use. Click the 'add language'' button.
We offer 6 language packs that have been verified by us. We also offer 5 'translater' packs. These have been translated using AI so there might be some small errors. Please let us know if you find a translation that is incorrect!
Settings
Simply select one of the languages to add it to your booking form. You can also make this new language the default language for the booking form.In case you decide to add a language that is not currently offered, you can manually create the translation. For this, follow step 3 and 4.
Starting point
Choose a starting point for your translations when adding an unsupported language:
• Use standard reference content - this is the Let's Book default copy.
• Copy content from existing translation - to start a new translation using an existing translation as a reference, use the copy you have already created in another language. This can be helpful if you have made many changes to the default copy in the past.
• Start from scratch - if you prefer to start with a blank slate, you can create a new translation from scratch. You will have access to the reference text as you make the translation.
Set status: Draft or Live
Start by entering all translations in 'draft' mode. As a staff member, you will be able to view the translation, but customers will not be able to see them yet.
When you have finished making the translation, flip the switch to set it to live. Customers will then be able to see the translation.
*Note that variables (words within {}) should not be translated. However, if a variable contains another variable (e.g., {xxx {yyy}}), only translate the inner content {yyy}.
Missing Translations
If you notice any missing translations, you can use the browse section to find red warning signs that indicate the missing text. Click on the section titles to find the missing text, which will be indicated by a warning sign. This will allow you to complete all of the copies.
